Colorado Coasters

We had the change to go out west & visit the beautiful state of Colorado. In Colorado we visited Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park, Elitch Gardens, & Lakeside Amusement Park. While Glenwood Caverns is about a 2.5 hour drive from Denver, it’s totally worth it.

The scenery is just one of the many reasons we love Colorado. The rides are either built right into the landscape or the landscape makes for the most beautiful backdrop. Here’s some additional information about the parks we visited on our trip:

Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park – Website Here

  • Address: 51000 Two Rivers Plaza Road, Glenwood Springs, CO 81601
  • You don’t want to miss this park! The Giant Canyon Swing literally swings you off the side of a canyon. The swing is positioned on the edge of a 1,300 foot drop. It’s scary, it’s fun, it’s incredible! The haunted mine drop is something you need to add to your list too. Although it’s not a roller coaster, it’s a really great ride built into the mountain. The Alpine coaster is always fun and it has amazing views.
  • If you are hungry once you leave the park, head to Slope & Hatch in the town of Glenwood Springs for some incredible tacos – you won’t be disappointed, they’re worth the wait!

Elitch Gardens Theme & Water Park – Website Here

  • Address: 4601 Sheridan Blvd., Denver, CO 80212
  • Here you’ll find some amazing rides, including The Half Pipe, Mind Eraser, and XLR8R. There’s plenty to do at Elitch gardens and it’s really close to downtown Denver.

Lakeside Amusement Park – Website Here

  • Address: 4601 Sheridan Blvd., Denver, CO 80212
